Congratulations to our Graduating Class of 2021 - Kiara Cipriani, Stefan Regault, Nathaniel Smith and Bennett Xu.
Revised Provincial Stay at Home Order The Province has updated the safety guidelines, effective Friday, June 11. The new order increases attendance to 40 persons at church services. Stage Two increases the attendance further, but there’s been no word yet from the bishops. We support the saftey guidelines and as has been the case since last March, the ordinary Christian obligation of Sunday attendance remains in abeyance. Church services have full safety guidelines and practices in place. Prayers are ongoing for the health of the community and an end to the pandemic. Morning Prayer on Zoom - Password Added Tuesday to Friday mornings, Morning Prayer is now being live-streamed from the church. Soon, we hope, the doors will also re-open. For that reason there is now a password for those attending Morning Prayer. It is a 28-week intensive healing-discipleship program that offers practical strategies to deal with real issues such as broken relationships, abuse, depression, anger, fear and various forms of addiction. These are symptoms of a broken, wounded and empty heart that longs for hope and meaning. As we place our hearts in Jesus’ hands, unhealthy and destructive ways previously used to escape the pain becomes less and less attractive. Shame loses its grip and lies that once had a stronghold, are replaced by God’s truth. You are given tried, tested and true practical methods to live an abundant and authentic life. Freedom Session is writing your story with a new and God-inspired ending. Freedom Session is divided into three equally important stages. Foundations (20 weeks - "Facing the Truth" and "Finding Freedom") will start you on your journey, and "Authentic Living" (8 weeks) continues the story. Each session meeting begins with a practical large group teaching, and everyone separated into gender-specific small groups to discuss what was taught at a deeper level. Each week, there is an "On Your Own" homework assignment to further apply what you are learning. For more information, contact splcyouthministry@gmail.com or 416 499 1545.
