I arrived in Santiago at 11:30 a.m this morning after walking the final 12 km to reach the Cathedral. I will go to the pilgrims mass at the Cathedral tomorrow morning to give thanks for a safe journey. God is good. Canon Kim.
It is a beautiful Sunday in Galacia. Yesterday i travelled from Dumbria to Vilaserio, a distance of 25 km. Today i am walking from Vilaserio to Vetosa, a distance of 25 km. On Monday I will walk the final 12 km to the Cathedral in Santiago. I will attend the pilgrims mass here and give thanks for a safe journey.
Blessings, Canon Kim Today (Sat. June 14th) I walked 20 Km - it took me 7 hours. It was sunny today but again involved walking up and down steep hills.
Blessings, Canon Kim Today, Friday the 13th, I walked from Muxia to Dumbria. It took me 10 hours to walk the 29 km in the rain. The walking is up and down steep hills so is quite the workout.
Blessings. Canon Kim. I just completed the 17 km walk from Lires to Muxia. It took me 5 hours walking through rain and wind to reach Muxia. Muxia has been a destination for pilgrims for almost 5,000 years. It was a centre of pilgrimage for many ancient religions and then for the last 1,000 years for Christians. It is beautiful region with lovely sea views and many hills.
Attached are some photos from todays walk. Tomorrow I will begin the return 4 day walk back to Santiago. Blessings, Canon Kim I completed the 18 km walk from Finnestera to Lires in 6 hours. The route was challenging with many hills. The weather was cool with strong winds but no rain. Very few people were walking this route.
Blessings, Canon Kim It is Tuesday June 10th here in Spain. I just completed the 18 km walk from Cee to Finisteria which was long believed to be the end of the world. It took me 7 hours to complete the distance. The weather was good today but rain may return for my walk tomorrow.
Blessings, Canon Kim I arrived in Cee last night after a 27 km walk from a Picota. I am now beside the Atlantic ocean and will walk to Finnestera today - 18 km. The weather has been sunny and hot.
Blessings, Canon Kim. It is Sunday on the Camino. I spent the day climbing up a mountain path for 20 km.
There were no other walkers today. I spent the day walking and praying. It took me 5 hours to complete todays walk. Blessings, Canon Kim I just completed the 14 km walk from Negreira to Vilaserio It is cool today 16 C but no rain. The walk was mostly uphill. It took me 4 hours to complete the walk.
