CALL TO PRAYER - 2nd Sunday of Lent - Black History Celebration

2/27/2021

Black History at St. Paul’s
Today we celebrate Black History Month at St. Paul’s, with Fr. Theadore Hunt as the guest preacher along with special music by an ensemble from our steel bands, Matthew Waterman and David McCartney, and a special art display by Gavin Ball.
The Diocesan Black Heritage Service will be on Zoom and streamed live on YouTube this year. Information and links can be found here:
www.toronto.anglican.ca/calendar/event-details/?id=15477
Good News - Outbreak Lifted at St. Paul’s Centre
About five weeks ago, several residents tested positive for Covid-19 and campus wide testing showed that 13 altogether were known to be infected. These were the first known cases in the residence since the pandemic began. Two weeks ago, all known cases in the residence were cleared from quarantine and followup testing this past week revealed no new cases. The outbreak has ended.
2020 Income Tax Receipts Completed and Sent
St. Paul’s income tax receipts were completed last week and distributed. Those who so requested have already received theirs by email. Those who requested pick-ups may do so now. All other receipts have been mailed and should arrive no later than mid-week. Our thanks to Daisy Lucas and Ruby Chen for dedicated service in an unusual time.
Considering Pre-Authorized Giving
Never has the support - and regular support - been so important. In response, a growing number are now using the Pre-Authorized Giving program, now counting for nearly a quarter of our annual envelope target. It is easy, safe, cost effective (cheaper than mailing a cheque) and simple to adjust. If interested, contact the office or check the website for more information: www.stpl.ca/give.html. Thank you for keeping St. Paul’s strong and ready to go when the doors re-open - made possible by your faithful and regular support in this irregular time.
