New Attendance Limit - 100 at St. Paul’s
On Friday (July 16, 2021) Ontario entered Stage Three of its re-opening plan. As a result, the Bishops now permit as many people in the church who can maintain "physical distancing of 2 metres". That is, in fact, harder to plan for because the space needed for individuals is greater than that needed for families. So to begin with, attendance at church services at St. Paul's will be limited to 100. That will be increased as we are able to do so safely. All other safety guidelines - the Amber Guidelines - remain in place: masks, distancing, no singing, etc..
We give thanks for the many hopeful signs, looking forward to the day when the colour changes from Amber to Green.

Bursaries of $600 each are to be awarded to High School graduates pursuing post-secondary
education at a university, a community college or in an apprenticeship program. The Memorial Music Scholarship is awarded to young people who are members of St. Paul’s and/or are involved in the St. Paul’s youth music program and who show promise in music and are pursuing musical studies. New Honorary Priest at St. Paul’s
Effective December, 2021, The Rev'd Canon Kim Beard has been appointed by Bishop Robertson as honorary priest at St. Paul’s, L’Amoreaux. Canon Beard is the recently retired priest of St. Paul on the Hill, Pickering.
Mission Trip to Tanzania 2022

New Attendance Limit - 80 at St. Paul’s
Stage Two of the Provincial Roadmap, effective June 30, increases the attendance limit at churches to 25% of capacity, or 80 at St. Paul’s. This may increase again with Stage Three, but we wait to hear from the Bishop. Signing in, mask-wearing and social distancing continues. The new limit provides plenty of room for members to sit. However, those who reserve ahead of time will only need to check off their name when they arrive rather than provide complete sign-in information.
We support the safety guidelines and as has been the case since last March, the ordinary Christian obligation of Sunday attendance remains in abeyance. Church services have full safety guidelines and practices in place. Prayers are ongoing for the health of the community and an end to the pandemic.

New Honorary Priest at St. Paul’s
Effective December, 2021, The Rev'd Canon Kim Beard has been appointed by Bishop Robertson as honorary priest at St. Paul’s, L’Amoreaux. Canon Beard is the recently retired priest of St. Paul on the Hill, Pickering.
Short Term Mission - Tanzania, 2022
Now in the works is a short term mission to Tanzania to construct a girl’s school in land facing both poverty and limited opportunities for young women. Watch for details. For more information, contact Canon Kim Beard.

Friday Night Bible Study - on Zoom - Fridays, 7.00 p.m.
Join us Friday evenings for Bible study and prayer, right now in a 12-week study of the letters to the Colossians and Philemon, following the Bible study guide by Bishop Tom Wright. Study guides are available online (www.amazon.ca or www.parasource.com or www.christianbook.com) or may be ordered through Fr. Dean. This Friday’s study (July 9): Colossians 2.8 - 3.4. After next Friday, the class will take a summer break, resuming on Friday, September 10.
